Absolute Plants and Landscapes is a Melbourne based company, providing high end garden maintenance to award winning retirement communities located throughout the Melbourne and Victoria.

We require a full time garden maintenance Team Leader to join our growing team servicing the Berwick and Cranbourne region.

Supporting our South East area manager, this role will require sound horticultural knowledge and an ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff members. The ability to organise and manage daily tasks and staff workload at each site will be key requirement of this position The role is wide and diverse and covers all manner of horticultural practices. These range from plant establishment, pruning of small to large hedges, pruning a variety of styles of topiary, weed control, irrigation, soft landscaping and lawn care.

What We Are Seeking.
Certificate III in Horticulture, Parks and Gardens, Landscape Construction or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent industry experience.
Demonstrated practical experience in horticulture, parks and gardens, landscape maintenance or a similar operational environment.
Demonstrated experience leading, supervising or providing day-to-day direction to a small operational team.




Sound knowledge of horticultural maintenance practices, including plant establishment, pruning, weed management, turf and garden maintenance.
Demonstrated understanding of workplace health and safety requirements within an outdoor operational setting.
Ability to plan and prioritise work, allocate tasks and monitor work quality.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, contractors and the public.
Ability to operate relevant horticultural plant, machinery and equipment safely.
Current driver's licence appropriate to the requirements of the position.
Ability to perform the inherent physical requirements of the role.
Sound knowledge of Zero Turn and Stand on Mower use
Have a White card and Working with Children's check
