Job Description
A leading, fast-growing non-bank lender is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join its Melbourne based credit team. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring high-quality credit decisions, maintaining strong risk standards, and supporting the business through accurate assessments, sound judgement, and effective stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities:
n
n
Conducting detailed credit assessments on allocated residential, commercial, SMSF and construction applications
n
Providing clear recommendations to Delegated Lending Authority holders and/or exercising your own
n
Identifying and escalating potential fraud risks
n
Maintaining high-quality data standards and documentation
n
Applying sound judgement to identify and manage operational and credit risk
n
Ensuring adherence to credit policy, regulatory guidance and legal requirements
n
Building effective relationships with internal stakeholders to support robust outcomes

Contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team culture
n

The ideal background:
n
n
2 - 4+ years' experience in lending or credit assessment, with exposure to one or more of residential, commercial, SMSF and/or construction lending
n
Experience working in a manual credit assessment environment
n
Ability to work autonomously with strong self-motivation
n
A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a genuine "can-do" attitude
n
Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
n
Ability to adapt quickly, learn on the fly, and perform under pressure
n
Commitment to integrity, teamwork, fairness and continuous improvement
