Working as part of our educator team, you will help create a safe, welcoming and engaging environment where school-age children can relax, play, build friendships and make meaningful choices.

Key responsibilities

Actively supervising children and maintaining their safety and wellbeing.
n
Building respectful, positive relationships with children and families.
n
Planning and delivering child-led play, leisure and recreational experiences.
n
Encouraging children's voice, independence, inclusion and participation.
n
Using positive, respectful approaches to behaviour guidance and conflict resolution.
n
Supporting children with additional needs, medical requirements or individual support plans.
n
Assisting with arrivals, departures, attendance checks, transitions and school collection where applicable.
n
Preparing and serving food in accordance with hygiene, allergy and dietary requirements.
n
Setting up, packing away and maintaining clean, safe and inviting environments.
n
Completing required records, including program reflections,



incident documentation and safety checks.
n

n
Dependable and punctual, particularly for time-critical OSHC shifts.
n
Engaged and attentive when supervising children.
n
Calm, patient and confident setting appropriate boundaries.
n
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
n
Skilled when communicating with families, colleagues and the school community.
n
Respectful of privacy, confidentiality and professional boundaries.
n
Willing to receive feedback, reflect on their practice and continue learning.
n
A current Queensland Blue Card or exemption card, with eligibility to be linked to our organisation before commencing.
n
Completion of required child-safety and child-protection training, or willingness to complete it before commencing.
n
Current approved first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and emergency asthma training, or willingness to obtain these before commencement.
