Job Description
M6 Stage 1 is a major transport infrastructure project that will help transform connectivity across Southern Sydney by delivering a new underground motorway linking President Avenue at Kogarah to the WestConnex network at Arncliffe.

The project includes the construction of twin motorway tunnels, ventilation facilities, surface road upgrades, complex underground works and associated mechanical, electrical and civil infrastructure. Once complete, M6 Stage 1 will improve travel times, reduce congestion on local roads and support the growing transport needs of the region.

About the Opportunity
n
We are currently seeking an experienced Plant Administrator to join our M6 Stage 1 team. This role will provide administrative and operational support to the Plant Department, ensuring the efficient management of plant, equipment, maintenance activities and project documentation across a large-scale tunnelling and infrastructure environment.
n
This is a full-time site-based position.
Candidates must be comfortable working within a major construction project environment and have the ability to travel to project offices and work sites as required.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Register and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and project documentation.
n
Prepare reports, meeting minutes, presentations and administrative documentation.
n
Maintain accurate filing, archiving and document control systems.
n
Provide administration support to the Plant Manager, Plant Engineers and Supervisors.
n
Coordinate plant maintenance schedules and support equipment reliability initiatives.
n
Create and issue maintenance work orders and track completion status.
n
Maintain plant databases, maintenance records and equipment registers.
n
Support compliance activities to ensure plant and equipment meet project and Australian Safety Standards.
n
Manage purchase orders, invoice processing, reconciliation and supplier communications.
n
Organise the hire, mobilisation and transportation of plant and equipment.
n
Maintain stock levels for consumables, spare parts and office supplies.
n
Assist with insurance claims, warranty claims and fleet administration.
n
Identify and implement improvements to plant administration processes and reporting systems.
n

Required Qualifications and Experience
n
n
Previous experience in an Administration,
Plant Administration, Maintenance Administration or Project Administration role.
n
Experience within construction, tunnelling, infrastructure, mining or heavy industry environments is highly regarded.
n
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
n
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
n
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
n
Excellent attention to detail and record management capability.
n
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
Experience raising purchase orders, processing invoices and maintaining supplier relationships.
n
Exposure to plant maintenance systems or asset management platforms would be advantageous.
n
Minimum 3-5 years' administration experience preferred; however, candidates with robust transferable experience will be considered.
