The work will involve a combination of mechanical installation, assembly and commissioning activities on industrial equipment and automated materials-handling systems.
n
Depending on the project, duties may include:
n
Mechanical installation and assembly of plant and equipment
n
Installation and mechanical fit-out of automated machinery
n
Alignment, adjustment and final mechanical fit-up
n
Reading and working from mechanical drawings
n
Use of hand and power tools
n
Assisting with equipment commissioning and project completion
n
Working safely alongside mechanical, electrical and project teams
n
Working safely at heights from EWP up to 30 metres
n
Completing work in accordance with site SWMS, procedures and safety requirements
n
About You
n
To be successful, you will ideally have:
n
Australian-recognised Mechanical Trade qualification – Fitter / Fitter & Turner / Mechanical Engineering Trade / Plant Mechanic
n
Previous industrial installation or construction experience
n
Robust mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
n
Ability to read mechanical drawings
n
Experience with conveyors, automated equipment or materials-handling systems highly regarded
n
Current White Card
n
Current driver's licence
n
EWP, forklift,



dogging or rigging tickets advantageous
n
Ability to work independently as well as part of a project team
n
A strong commitment to workplace safety
n
Reliable attendance and a professional attitude
n
Previous experience installing or maintaining high rise automated warehouse equipment, automated cranes, production machinery or other materials-handling equipment will be highly regarded.
