Zoom Recruitment is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Yard Support / Despatch Support team member to join a leading transport and logistics operation. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors in a fast-paced yard environment while supporting the protected and effective movement of freight.
About the Role
As part of the yard and despatch team, your day-to-day duties may include:
Strapping and securing loads
Setting up the yard in accordance with traffic management plans
General yard housekeeping and maintaining a safe work environment
Assisting drivers with unstrapping loads
Conducting gate checks and verifying customer pickups
Supporting warehouse and storeperson operations
Assisting with trailer and base movements
Operating mobile equipment where required
The primary focus of this role is to improve yard efficiency by reducing truck wait times, increasing inventory visibility, and supporting on-time freight movements.
To Be Successful You Will Have:
Current Forklift Licence (essential)
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment
Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
Reliable transport and full time availability
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen, and reference checks
Desirable (Not Essential):
Load restraint experience or relevant tickets
Dogman ticket
HR or MR Truck Licence
