As we continue to grow our Commercial Law practice, we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us.

This is an opportunity for a 3+ PQE Commercial Lawyer who wants to do more than contribute to a practice. We're looking for someone who wants to help build it, develop a team and grow into a leadership position.

The Role
n
You'll join our Commercial Law practice as a senior member of the team and work closely with the Managing Partner across a broad portfolio of transactional and advisory commercial matters.
n
As the practice continues to grow, you'll have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility for clients, workflow and junior team members, with a genuine pathway towards Senior Associate, Special Counsel and ultimately leading a team or division.

What You'll Do
n
n
Advise businesses on structures, governance, contracts and general commercial matters
n
Act as a trusted adviser to retainer clients and manage their day-to-day legal needs
n
Translate complex legal issues into clear, practical and commercially focused advice
n
Develop long-term relationships with clients across a range of industries
n
n
Drafting & Negotiation
n
n
Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements
n
Work across shareholder agreements, company constitutions, employment and contractor agreements, terms and conditions,



confidentiality deeds and other commercial contracts
n
Review incoming contracts and advise on commercial and legal risks
n
Tailor agreements to meet client-specific needs and risk profiles
n

Transactional
n
n
Act for vendors and purchasers on mergers and acquisitions
n
Draft and review commercial and retail leases
n
Advise clients across a range of commercial transactions
n
Support businesses as they grow, restructure and evolve
n
Help lead, supervise and mentor junior lawyers and paralegals
n
Allocate and oversee workflow as the team grows
n
Support the development of junior team members
n
Help build a collaborative, high-performing team culture
n
Develop your own leadership and people-management skills
n

Client & Practice Development
n
n
Manage a portfolio of clients independently
n
Become a trusted first point of contact for key clients
n
Build deep, long-term client relationships
n
Develop your business development and networking skills
n
Learn how to identify, attract and win new work
n
Contribute to the growth and direction of the Commercial Law practice
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
n
3+ years PQE in Commercial Law
n
Strong experience across corporate/commercial advisory and contract work
n
Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
n
Commercial acumen and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
n
Confidence managing client relationships independently
n




Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of your matters
n
Interest in leading, managing and developing a team
n
Experience supervising junior lawyers or paralegals is highly regarded
n
NSW admission with a current practising certificate
n
n
