WCOOSC is a notfor profit out of school hours centre looking for reliable casual educators to join ourstaff. We are passionate about providing a high level of care in a friendly and approachable environment. We are looking for educators who enjoy interacting with children, implementing programmedactivities and know the importance ofactive supervision.

We abide by the 10 Child Safety Standards and maintain a robust focus on play-based learning and holistic development. We aim to make a positive impact on the lives of the children and families we serve.

Your Role Will Include:
n
n
Supervision of children aged 5 - 12 years.
n
Children's behaviour management.
n
Running activities based off children's interests.
n
Programming activities with guidance from Education Leader.
n
Serving/preparing afternoon tea.
n
Going on excursions such as bowling or to the beach during vacation care.
n
Shifts between twoto fourhours long, with the chance to work up to eight-hour days in vacation care.
n
n
Must Haves:
n
n
Working with Childrens Check.
n
First Aid certificate(or willing to obtain).
n
Child Safety Foundations certificate via Geccko (or willing to obtain)
n
Food Safety training via The Food Authority (or willing to obtain)
n
Relevant experience working with children previously.
n
Interest in craft, sports, gamesor any activities enjoyed by children.
n
Reliable and punctualteam player.
n
Effective communication and a professional manner.
n
Be available a minimum of 3 afternoons per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
n
Cert 3 in Children's Services/Diploma or equivalent.
n
Experience working with school aged children.
n
Comfortable working with children with special needs.
n
Knowledge of the "My Time Our Place" framework.
n
Previous experience with Playground/Xplor.
n
