We're partnering with a well-established industrial contractor delivering mechanical installation and maintenance works across major industrial facilities in Sydney's Port Botany precinct. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Trade Assistant with a current Dogman ticket to join a professional team supporting mechanical fitters, pipe fitters and rigging crews on large-scale industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

Assist mechanical fitters, pipe fitters and rigging crews on site
n
Perform dogging duties during crane lifts and material movements
n
Support mechanical installation, bolt-up and flange assembly work
n
Set up tools, equipment and maintain safe work areas
n
Follow all site safety procedures and assist with general labouring duties
n

What You'll Bring
n

Current Dogman Ticket (essential)
n
Industrial or mechanical Trade Assistant experience
n
White Card, Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets
n
Current driver's licence and reliable transport
n
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
n
n
Highly Regarded
n
n
Basic or Intermediate Rigging ticket
n
Experience in refineries, oil & gas or heavy industrial maintenance
n
Mechanical shutdown experience
n
EWP or Forklift licence
n
Experience working around mechanical or piping crews
n
n
Salary & Benefits
n
n
$45–$55 per hour depending on experience
n
Overtime and penalty rates available
