About the Role
n
As a Disability Support Worker, you'll support people to live asindependently as possible while achieving their goals and participating intheir community.
n
At QLSS, you will have the opportunity to work alongside peoplefrom culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, helping themovercome barriers to accessing services and achieving their goals through theNDIS.
n
You will support participants with a range of complex needs,including psycho-social disabilities and trauma-related support needs, providingperson-centred and culturally responsive support that respects eachindividual's background, values and lived experience.
n

Your responsibilities will include:

Personal care and hygiene support
n
Daily living assistance and household tasks
n
Medication assistance and documentation
n




Community participation and social engagement
n
Meal preparation and healthy living support
n
SIL support within structured home environments
n
Accurate record keeping and shift documentation
n
Support delivered in line with individual NDIS goals and plans
n

What We're Looking For
n
We're seeking people who are professional, reliable, compassionateand committed to delivering high-quality support.
n
n
Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services
n
NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
n
Current CPR & First Aid Certificate
n
NDIS Worker Orientation Module
n
Current driver's licence and reliable fully insured vehicle for work or business purposes
n
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
n
Legal right to work in Australia
n
n
Highly Desirable
n
n
Certificate IV in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services
n
Previous experience in disability, aged care, community services or mental health support
n
Experience working within NDIS or SIL environments
n
