About the Role
n
Centennial is seeking an experienced Business Improvement Manager to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across our Western Region. This role is suited to a highly capable improvement professional who thrives on solving complex operational challenges, building capability and delivering sustainable business outcomes.
n
The Business Improvement Manager is responsible for improving site performance through the identification, delivery and sustainment of business improvement initiatives and management systems.
n
The role leads the site implementation and continual improvement of the Centennial Management Operating System (C-MOS), ensuring site management systems align with the Group operating model and support sustained performance improvement.
n
The Business Improvement Manager works closely with frontline employees, leaders and the Site Senior Management Team to solve operational problems, build improvement capability and deliver business objectives.
n
Reporting to the Mine Manager, your role will be responsible for
n
n
Developing and maintaining the site's Business Improvement Plan, including annual objectives, quarterly priorities and performance measures
n
Leading the identification, prioritisation, delivery and sustainment of business improvement initiatives that improve productivity, reduce waste and deliver business objectives
n
Managing the site's business improvement initiative pipeline and ensuring alignment with site and corporate priorities
n
Leading the implementation and continual improvement of the Centennial Management Operating System (C-MOS)



in alignment with the Group operating model
n
Maintaining governance frameworks, operating cadences and management systems that support accountability, operational discipline and performance
n
Identifying opportunities to improve operational performance through digital technologies, automation and AI-enabled solutions
n
Facilitating structured problem‐solving workshops to resolve operational challenges and implement sustainable improvements
n
Monitoring initiative performance, benefits realisation and reporting progress against business improvement objectives
n
Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, legislative and corporate requirements while promoting Centennial policies and standardised work practices
n

Suitable candidates will demonstrate many of the following
n
n
Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and drive change across all levels of an organisation
n
Strong understanding of lean / continuous improvement principles, methodologies and their practical application
n
Experience leading complex improvement initiatives and organisational change
n
Proven experience facilitating structured problem‐solving workshops
n
Strong coaching, training and facilitation skills
n
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data
n
Experience in mining or other operational environments
n
Experience with Management Operating Systems
n
Experience with digital technologies, automation and AI-enabled business improvement solutions
n
