Job Description
JS Careers have been engaged by a leading institutional bank who are seeking a Credit Risk specialist with a focus on Real Estate/CRE to join their team in Sydney. In this role, you will assess and manage credit risk across a portfolio of real estate clients, working closely with Relationship Managers and Risk teams to exercise sound, balanced lending decisions across Real Estate and Complex transactions.

Responsibilities

Review credit proposals and identify key risks within the real estate portfolio
n
Make informed credit decisions within delegated authority
n
Build strong relationships across the business and provide clear guidance on risk
n
Partner with Relationship Managers and Risk teams to shape credit strategy
n
Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging risks early
n
Contribute practical, balanced solutions to credit and risk challenges
n
Champion a consistent, disciplined risk culture
n
n
Requirements
n
n
Experience assessing, managing and decisioning credit risk,
ideally with strong Real Estate exposure
n
Familiarity with the Australian and/or New Zealand real estate marketsStrong analytical skills and sound, balanced judgement under pressure
n
Confidence operating within delegated authority on higher-value transactions
n
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to navigate challenging conversations
n
A team-oriented, proactive approach to managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
n
