People & Culture Advisor - Constructions

I'm currently partnering with a well-established, family-owned construction and property development business to appoint a People & Culture Advisor to join their growing team.
n
This is a hands-on, broad HR generalist role working closely with the Directors and Managers across the business. You'll be trusted to take ownership of day-to-day people matters while helping build and improve the HR structure, systems and processes as the business continues to grow.

The Role
n
n
Act as the key point of contact for employees and managers across day-to-day HR matters
n
Provide practical advice and coaching around performance, employee relations and workplace issues
n
Manage recruitment, onboarding, probation, performance and offboarding processes
n
Own employment contracts, HR documentation, policies and award interpretation
n
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, Contemporary Awards and workplace requirements
n
Support workplace investigations and workers compensation matters
n
Manage the HRIS and maintain accurate employee records
n
Support WHS compliance and HR-related record keeping
n
Contribute to employee engagement, EVP, career pathways and future talent initiatives
n

Requirements
n
n
4+ years' experience in a generalist HR / People & Culture role
n
Tertiary qualification in HR, Business or a related discipline preferred
n
Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and Modern Awards
n
Practical experience managing employee relations and workplace investigations
n
Confident coaching and influencing managers at all levels
n
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
n
Comfortable working autonomously in a hands-on family business environment
n
Construction, property, trades or similar industry experience highly regarded
n
