Work Type: Fixed term (external applicants) / Temporary Assignment (internal DJSIR employees) / Secondment (VPS employees external to DJSIR) (12 months)

Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)

Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)
n
Manages an area with significant budget, staff responsibilities or strategic importance
n
Identifies and responds to current and emerging strategic issues impacting on the operating environment
n
Develops briefs on highly complex issues that provide options for decision within an organisation
n
Uses knowledge of structures, processes and culture of government, the sector and the department to develop policies and new program or project initiatives

The Team
n
The position of Manager, Training System Insights forms a part of the Policy & Strategy within the Skills and TAFE.
n
n
Team Management: Aligns community needs, service delivery model, talent availability against workforce strategy and architecture.
n
Policy Design and Development: Builds trusting relationships with Senior Leaders across the VPS to engender support for proposals. Provides thought leadership to others in area of expertise.
n
Flexibility and Adaptability: Works to find new ways to deliver outcomes. Recognises the merits of different options and acts accordingly.



Builds commitment of others to adopt new strategies to deliver against outcomes.
