Role Description
This casual or part-time Senior Solicitor role is ideal for experienced practitioners, including those who are semi-retired, seeking flexible working arrangements. This is a full-time equivalent opportunity with flexibility in hours and workload, based on-site in Sydney, NSW. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a portfolio of matters, providing high-level legal advice, drafting and reviewing complex documents, and representing clients in negotiations and, where necessary, court proceedings.
The Senior
Solicitor will mentor junior team members, contribute to strategic case planning,
and collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal services. The role requires robust client relationship management, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while supporting the firm’s broader objectives.
Qualifications
Strong grounding in general Law, with demonstrated experience as a practising solicitor in Australia.
Expertise in Conveyancing and Commercial Real Estate, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating property-related contracts.
Proficiency in Labour and Employment Law, Construction Law, compliance and dispute resolution.
Experience in Family Law, including parenting, property, and related family disputes.
Admission as a Solicitor in NSW and a current practising certificate.
Proven track record of managing files autonomously and delivering clear, practical legal advice.
Robust written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and professional client service standards.
Ability to mentor and guide junior practitioners, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Experience in any of the firm’s other practice areas (e.g., commercial litigation, wills and probate, criminal law) is highly regarded.
