A global financial technology business is building a recent engineering team in Sydney.

We're looking for experienced Backend / Senior Software Engineers to join a high-performing engineering environment working on complex, high-scale financial technology.

The role
n
You will:
n
Design and develop highly available, scalable backend systems.
n
Own services from system design through to deployment and production.
n
Work across complex, distributed systems and business-critical workflows.
n
Design resilient architectures and asynchronous services.
n
Build APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
n
Work closely with Product, Operations and international engineering teams.
n
The business is technology agnostic, so strong backend engineers from a range of technology environments will be considered.
n




What we're looking for
n
Strong commercial backend software engineering experience.
n
Experience designing and maintaining complex systems at scale.
n
Strong understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.
n
Experience working with cloud infrastructure and modern engineering practices.
n
Experience with APIs, asynchronous processing and event-driven systems.
n
Strong engineering fundamentals and a focus on reliability, scalability and maintainability.
n
Experience working in a collaborative product/engineering environment.
n
