n Our client is a specialist design consultancy delivering projects across defence, water, buildings, and transport. They offer structural engineering, temporary works, civil, forensic investigations, and project management services across several offices in Australia.
n They are now seeking an experienced SeniorTemporary Works Engineer to join their growing team in either Sydney or Melbourne. The Role:
n
As a Senior / Team Lead Temporary Works Engineer, you will:
n
n
Lead and manage the design of complex temporary works, including falsework, formwork, scaffolding, and temporary bridge structures.
n
Oversee a team of engineers, providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance on best practices.
n
Ensure designs comply with industry codes and safety standards.
n
Engage directly with clients and contractors, managing key relationships and ensuring solutions are practical, safe, and cost-effective.
n
Review and approve engineering calculations, design reports, and drawings.
n
Advise on advanced construction methodologies and sequencing to optimise delivery outcomes.

Provide oversight and support across multidisciplinary projects, contributing to strategic business growth.
n

About You:
n
n
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
n
8+ years' experience in temporary works design and construction engineering, including leadership responsibilities.
n
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with Engineers Australia (or close to achieving).
n
Expertise in structural design tools such as Tekla Tedds, ClearCalcs, SkyCIV, and Beam 4.
n
Strong understanding of formwork systems (ACROW, PAFILI, PERI, DOKA, LVL timber).
n
Proven ability to lead teams, manage workloads, and develop junior engineers.
n
Excellent client-facing, communication, and negotiation skills.
n
