Job Description
Our client is a leading Australian-owned automation and engineering business delivering innovative solutions across the Food & Beverage, FMCG, Packaging, Manufacturing and Industrial sectors. They are seeking an experienced Service Manager - Automation to take ownership of a well-established service business and lead its next stage of growth.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will have full commercial and operational accountability for the division - revenue, profitability, people, customers, systems and growth. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who knows how to run, grow and optimise an industrial service business.

Your Role
n
You will lead the complete Service Division, bringing together service sales, planning, scheduling, operations and field technicians to deliver outstanding commercial and customer outcomes. Your focus will be clear:
n
n
Own and drive the P&L; performance of the Service Division.
n
Develop and execute annual business plans, budgets and growth strategies across all States.
n
Drive recurring service revenue, customer retention and new business opportunities.
n
Improve technician utilisation, labour recovery, scheduling and productivity.
n
Build and maintain a solid forward sales and service pipeline.
n
Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing service team.
n
Strengthen relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.

About You

You are a commercially driven leader who understands that a successful Service Division needs to deliver exceptional customer outcomes and strong financial performance. You will bring:

Proven leadership within industrial service, automation, engineering, manufacturing, technical services.
n
Demonstrated P&L;, budgeting and financial management capability.
n
A track record of growing revenue and profitability.
n
Strong understanding of field service operations, resource planning and technician utilisation.
n
The ability to lead, coach and hold teams accountable for performance.
n
Excellent communication and senior-level customer relationship skills.
n
