Job Description
We are partnering with a high-growth, ASX-listed fintech business to recruit an experienced Group Accounting Manager for an initial 3–6 month contract.
n This is a senior, hands-on role within the Financial Control team, taking ownership of key group accounting activities and ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting. You will also lead a small team and work closely with senior finance stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities
n

Lead and manage the month-end close process
n
Take ownership of group accounting and financial control activities
n
Review monthly results and provide meaningful commentary to senior finance leadership
n
Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial information
n
Support half-year and year-end statutory reporting
n
Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS
n
Liaise with internal and external auditors
n
Maintain and strengthen the internal control environment
n
Partner with FP&A; on budgeting and forecasting
n
Oversee key finance operations, including AP, AR and payment processes
n
Lead, develop and mentor a small accounting team
n
Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and greater efficiency
n
Support ad hoc commercial, accounting and finance projects
n

The Opportunity

About You
n
You will be a CA/CPA qualified finance professional with strong technical accounting and financial control experience. You will ideally have:
n
n
Solid knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards / IFRS
n
Demonstrated experience leading month-end and financial reporting
n
Previous team management experience
n
Strong Excel and ERP systems capability
n
Excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills
n
Experience within financial services, fintech or another regulated environment would be highly regarded
n
n
