Job Description

Management, ownership and coordination of mechanical design projects from feasibility level through to detailed design.
n
Detailed design of mechanical elements, such as conveyors, surge bins, chutes and transfer stations
n
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (e.g. civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure coordination and integration of mechanical elements with overall plant design
n
Prepare design drawings with sufficient detail for fabrication where required.

Skills and experience
n
n
Tertiary qualification in mechanical design, with 7+ years of Multidisciplinary design experience in the mining and resources sector.
n
Relevant experience in mining, minerals processing, and/or bulk materials handling industries.
n
Experience across a range of commodities, including gold, copper, lithium and iron ore, is favourable
n




Knowledge of industry standards and regulations governing mechanical design in the Australian mining sector.
n
Familiarity with engineering design software packages such as Bentley MicroStation and Prosteel.
n
Good presentation and communication skills at all levels.
n
Demonstrated understanding of industry safety and environmental standards.
n
Multi-discipline experience is advantageous
