We are looking for a Test Baker to join our team at our Manildra site. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the intersection of baking and innovation, helping shape and improve products used across the industry.

About the Role
n
As our Test Baker, you'll play a hands-on role in developing, testing and refining our flour and bakery products across both bread and cake applications. Working closely with our R&D; team, you'll bring recipes to life and ensure products perform consistently in real-world bakery environments.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Conduct test baking and evaluate performance of flour and bakery products
n
Collaborate with R&D; to trial new and improved formulations
n
Develop and adjust scratch recipes to meet application needs
n
Accurately record results, observations and data
n
Carry out testing within a Quality Control Laboratory environment
n
Maintain a clean, secure and organised bakery workspace
n




Care for and perform basic maintenance on bakery equipment
n

About You
n
You're a hands-on baking professional who thrives on detail, enjoys learning, and takes pride in your work. You're naturally curious and interested in how ingredients behave and interact.
n
To be successful, you will have:
n
n
A Trade Qualification in Baking, Pastry Food Technology, Food Science or Home Economics(or nearing completion)
n
Experience working with both bread and cake products (preferred)
n
Strong understanding of ingredient functionality (flour, yeast, sugars, fats, improvers, etc.)
n
Confidence working from scratch recipes
n
Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
n
A reliable,honest and flexible approach to work
n
A willingness to learn and collaborate across teams
n
