Wulguru Group is seeking a skilled Vehicle Spray Painter to join their team in their Townsville workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and painting a variety of industrial vehicles and equipment, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, cleaning, and applying primer as required.
n
Mix and match paints to achieve accurate color accuracy, adhering to client or manufacturer specifications.
n
Apply paint using various techniques, including spray guns, ensuring a smooth and flawless finish.
n
Perform touch-ups and repairs to maintain the aesthetic and quality of vehicle surfaces.
n
Inspect completed work for quality control, ensuring a professional and long-lasting finish.
n
Utilise specialised tools and equipment, maintaining them in excellent working condition.
n
Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
n
Keep accurate records of materials used and work completed for future reference.
n
Stay informed about the latest advancements in painting techniques, tools, and materials.
n
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to workplace health and safety standards.
n

Requirements:
n
n
Relevant trade qualifications: Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or equivalent.
n
Proven experience in automotive painting, including surface preparation and spray painting.
n
Strong understanding of paint mixing, matching, and application techniques.
n
n
You may be required to undergo a Medical and Drug & Alcohol test.
