Supported by a team of high performing scientific experts and NATA Laboratory, your specific responsibilities are likely to include... dependent upon experience:
n
In office Technical duties (consulting, monitoring, analysis and reporting). Including Environmental Management, Chemical, Asbestos, Dust, Noise, Vibration, Water Quality, IAQ, Mould & Fungi, Bacteria, Clandestine Labs.
n
Investigation, project management and monitoring of contaminated sites, including water soil and air and materials.
n
Development applications providing specialist technical expertise in relation to occupational and environmental matters
n
Developing and maintaining asbestos registers coupled with supervising asbestos remediation programs including Naturally Occurring Asbestos (NOA), Licensed Asbestos Assessors are encouraged to apply.
n
Draft reports and recommend asbestos risk mitigation and management strategies as well as Environmental, Asbestos Management Plans, DSI and PSI.
n
It is essential that you have:
n
Tertiary qualifications in one of the following fields - Science, Environmental Science, Laboratory, Engineering, Building, Construction, Occupational Hygiene, Forensics' or Work Health and Safety disciplines.
n




Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
n
The ability to work effectively within a team environment, but also have the ability to work independently.
n
Driver License and ability to travel when required.
n
Preferred candidates will have:
n
Experience in Environmental and/or Occupational Hygiene Management
n
Experience in Environmental monitoring and sampling (soil, air and/or water)
n
Willingness to obtain an Asbestos Assessors License or Occupational Hygiene qualifications.
n
Construction White Card
n
Working With Children Check and Police Checks
n
Salary Package: A competitive salary, which includes paid overtime, under an approved Federal Award commensurate with experience and superannuation.
n
Preferred location of Newcastle however other locations including Dubbo, Orange, Tamworth or Wagga offices would be considered.
