Care Service Employee (CSE) - Direct Care – Permanent and Casual Night Shift

ABOUT THE ROLE
n
We are seeking dedicated Care Service Employees to join our team in permanent part‐time capacity for three (3) nights per week (Wednesday, Monday and Tuesday) roles on night shift.
n
We are also seeking dedicated Care Service Employees to join our team in a casual capacity.
n
In this hands‐on role, you will deliver safe, high‐quality, person‐centred care that supports residents' independence, dignity and wellbeing, in line with Evergreen's mission and HEART values.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Provide overnight support with personal care needs, including toileting, repositioning, hydration and comfort measures.
n
Monitor residents' wellbeing throughout the night, respond to call bells promptly, and escalation any concerns or changes in condition.
n
Complete scheduled night checks, observations and documentation in accordance with care plans.
n
Accurately document care provided and any overnight incidents or changes in clinical records.
n
Assist with basic clinical tasks and medication support under the direction of a Registered Nurse, within scope.
n
Maintain a safe, quiet and secure environment, including cleaning tasks and preparation for the day shift as required.
n
Support residents who are awake or unsettled overnight,
providing reassurance and assistance to promote rest and comfort.
n

ABOUT YOU
n
You are a caring, reliable and motivated individual who is passionate about supporting older people to live with dignity and independence. You bring a person-centred approach to care and take pride in delivering high-quality support in a team-based environment.
n
You will possess:
n
n
A Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Aged Care
n
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and team members.
n
Minimum 6 months experience supporting personal care and daily living activities in an aged care or health setting.
n
The ability to work within scope of practice, follow care plans, and take direction from Registered Nurses.
n
A commitment to resident privacy, confidentiality and safe work practices.
n
The ability to work both independently and as part of a flexible, multi-skilled team.
n
A current National Criminal Record Check (or willingness to obtain one).
n
Willingness to participate in a pre-employment medical assessment.
n
