We are currently seeking an experienced permanent part-time Medical Receptionist to join our well-established psychology practice in Malvern East. Join a supportive team, enjoy meaningful client-focused work, and become part of a workplace where long-term team members are genuinely valued.

This is a permanent part-time opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a private practice setting and is looking for meaningful, stable work within a friendly and professional team of approximately 20 clinicians and administrative staff.
n
Preferred days are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, with availability between 8:30am and 4:30pm and flexibility to work until 6:15pm. Availability to work additional days when required is highly regarded. There is some flexibility with days for the right candidate.

About the Role
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Supporting the effective operation of a busy psychology practice
n




Warmly welcoming and assisting clients upon arrival
n
Managing phone and email enquiries with professionalism and empathy
n
Scheduling and coordinating appointments
n
Liaising with clinicians and other healthcare professionals
n
Providing administrative support to practitioners
n
Accurate data entry and record management
n
Billing and processing Medicare claims
n
General office administration and maintaining a tidy, welcoming reception area
n
n
Skills & Experience
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
A minimum of 2 years' experience in medical or allied health administration
n
Excellent customer service and communication skills
n
A professional, calm and empathic approach when dealing with clients
n
Strong computer skills and attention to detail (experience with Medicare billing and Zanda is highly regarded)
n
Can work both independently and collaboratively within a team
n
