The Opportunity

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District is seeking experienced locum Residents, Registrars, and CMOs to support their Emergency Department across a busy metropolitan-fringe hospital.

You'll manage acute presentations in a dynamic environment with consultant support, access to ICU, and integrated retrieval services.
n
Ideal for clinicians seeking rewarding ED shifts close to Sydney while developing or refining their critical care skills.

Clinical Environment

Exposure to major trauma, resus, and complex medical/surgical emergencies
n
Supportive supervision structure with on-site FACEMs and registrars
n
Work alongside ICU, retrieval, and specialist teams
n
Balance clinical autonomy with structured support and escalation pathways
n
Diverse pathology mix with metro and regional presentations
n

Eligibility Criteria
n
n
General or Specialist AHPRA Registration
n
Recent emergency or critical care experience
n




NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
n
Australian working rights
n
Willingness to complete onboarding and credentialing
n
n

Up to $250/hour depending on role and shift type

Travel and accommodation (or allowances) covered for eligible doctors

Dedicated support for roster coordination and credentialing
