Job Description

Following the successful implementation of a major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform, Council is entering the next phase of its transformation journey, unlocking recent opportunities in financial planning, analysis, reporting and business intelligence.
n
As a Finance Business Partner, you'll help leaders maximise the value of our modern financial systems and data capabilities, strengthening financial decision-making and organisational performance.
n
Working closely with stakeholders across Council, you'll support our transition to a more contemporary, connected and agile organisation by delivering meaningful insights, improving financial capability and driving better business outcomes.
n

What you will be doing
n
n
Partner with leaders and teams to provide practical financial advice, commercial analysis and insight-led recommendations.
n
Support planning, budgeting and forecasting processes by helping business units translate service plans and operational needs into credible financial outcomes.
n
Prepare accurate and timely reporting inputs, identify trends, risks and emerging issues, and support informed corrective action.
n
Contribute to robust business cases by developing financial analysis that clearly outlines assumptions, risks, contingencies and expected impacts.
n
Promote strong data governance,
reporting consistency and continuous improvement across financial systems, processes and templates.
n
Support financial literacy and capability uplift across the organisation by helping stakeholders better understand financial drivers and performance.

About you
n
You are naturally curious, commercially minded and passionate about partnering with the business to create value.

Strong financial management, analysis and reporting capability.
n
Proven experience partnering with senior stakeholders to influence and achieve outcomes.
n
Well-developed financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
A collaborative style with the ability to build strong, trusted relationships.
n
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, practical insights.
n
A genuine commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and organisational success.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
n

Degree qualifications in Finance or Accounting, or demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development.

Offer Details
n
The commencing salary for this position is up to $*****K. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $*****K on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation
n
n
We have a 2 x permanent and 1x Fixed Term Contract roles available
n
This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
n
We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
n
This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
n
n
