Job Description
Flower Power is Australia's largest retail Garden Centre & Lifestyle group, boasting 11 retail stores across Sydney and Maitland. We cultivate, source, and sell an extensive selection of plants, landscape materials, outdoor furniture, homewares, and gifts.

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team at our Head Office in Erskine Park. Working four days per week onsite, this six-month fixed-term role offers the possibility of extension.
n
Reporting to the Assistant Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for managing and processing payroll activities accurately, efficiently and in line with relevant compliance requirements.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Processing end-to-end weekly payroll for salaried, full-time, part-time and casual employees using MicroPay.
n
Processing new starters, employee status changes and terminations.
n
Managing time and attendance through EmpLive.
n
Sound working knowledge of Fair Work, Up-to-date Awards, Superannuation, Payroll Tax and PAYG.
n
Preparing statutory reporting and supporting payroll compliance requirements.
n
Assisting with payroll budgeting activities.
n
Managing working visa requirements and related records.
n
Completing additional payroll and finance-related tasks as required by the Assistant Chief Financial Officer

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with confidence taking ownership of tasks.

To be successful, you will have:
n
n
A minimum of 3–5 years' relevant payroll experience.
n
Advanced Excel skills, including experience with formulas and macros.
n
Proven experience with MicroPay or similar payroll systems, including the ability to identify and resolve payroll system issues with minimal supervision.
n
Strong understanding of Award interpretation and statutory payroll compliance requirements, including superannuation, long service leave, WorkCover and child support.
n
Strong problem-solving skills, with experience supporting process improvements, excellent attention to detail and a genuine sense of ownership.
