Operations Manager - Accounting and Financial Planning

About the role
n Our client is a medium-sized accounting and financial planning practice in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, and they are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join their senior leadership team.
n
This is a genuinely valued operational role where you will be involved in all partnership meetings, overseeing administration, finance, HR, IT and marketing, and leading a team of direct reports.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Leading and developing the Office Services team
n
Owning the day-to-day running of admin, Finance, HR, IT and marketing functions across the practice
n
Preparing budgets, reports and forecasts, and monitoring performance against results
n
Overseeing cash flow, payroll, credit policy, banking, insurance and property administration
n
Recommending, implementing and embedding improved systems, processes and procedure manuals
n
Managing recruitment, induction, performance reviews and remuneration to attract and retain great people
n
Ensuring the practice stays compliant with employment law and current HR policy
n




Acting as a trusted point of contact for partners, directors, staff and clients
n
n
What you'll bring
n
n
5+ years' practice or office management experience within an accounting or financial planning firm
n
Solid grounding in business operations, and up to date with relevant legislation for accounting / wealth management
n
Proven people leadership – you know how to develop, motivate and get the best out of a team
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to present to staff at all levels
n
Strong time management and the ability to prioritise and deliver under pressure
n
