We're looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team in a busy specialist paediatric practice.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and understands the importance of providing a warm, reassuring and professional experience for children, families and clinicians.

About the Role
n
You'll be responsible for providing an efficient and welcoming reception service and ensuring the smooth flow of patients through the practice.
n
The role includes face-to-face reception, telephone and email enquiries, appointment management, patient billing and maintaining accurate patient records.
n
You'll also work closely with clinicians and the administration team, using initiative and problem-solving skills to ensure patients receive excellent service.
n
The role will see you working Monday and Fridays, and a Tuesday or Wednesday (ideally alternating this day fortnightly).
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Provide a warm, professional and patient-focused reception service.
n
Manage appointments, telephone and email enquiries.
n
Register current patients and maintain accurate patient records.
n
Process patient billing, invoices, payments and receipts.
n
Assist with outstanding patient accounts and hospital billing.
n




Scan and file referrals, correspondence and results.
n
Liaise with clinicians regarding patient enquiries and results.
n
Follow practice policies, privacy and confidentiality requirements.
n
Contribute positively to a cooperative and supportive team environment.
n
About You
n
You'll bring:

Previous experience in a face-to-face reception role.
n
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
n
Strong computer skills and attention to detail. Experience using Genie will be beneficial
n
The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
n
The ability to work calmly under pressure and use initiative.
n
The ability to work independently while being a strong team member.
n
