About the Role
n
We are looking for an experienced Class A and/or B Asbestos Removal Supervisor / Labourer who is comfortable supervising asbestos works while also being actively involved on the tools.
n
This isn't a position where you'll simply stand back and manage a crew. You'll work alongside the team, helping establish removal areas, undertake asbestos removal, complete decontamination and clean-up, and ensure each project is delivered safely and efficiently.
n
You'll work across a variety of projects, including residential and commercial asbestos removal, strip-outs, demolition projects, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to develop further within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and undertake Class A and/or B asbestos removal works.
n
Establish asbestos work areas, exclusion zones, barricades, signage and required controls.
n
Carry out the safe removal,



wrapping and preparation of asbestos-containing materials for disposal.
n
Undertake HEPA vacuuming, wet wiping, decontamination and detailed cleaning of removal areas.
n
Ensure asbestos removal works are completed in accordance with relevant SWMS, asbestos removal control plans and site requirements.
n
Correctly use and maintain PPE and respiratory protective equipment.
n
Coordinate asbestos removal activities with labourers, subcontractors and other trades on site.
n
Complete required asbestos removal, site and waste documentation.
n
Maintain clean, organised and professional work areas.
n
Assist with demolition, strip-out works when required.
n
Lead by example and ensure the team maintains a strong safety culture.
n

You'll be comfortable taking responsibility for asbestos removal activities while still working alongside your crew to get the job completed. You should have a strong understanding of asbestos removal procedures and know how to maintain compliance without compromising productivity.
n
We're particularly interested in someone who communicates well, takes ownership of their work and can professionally represent the company when dealing with clients, colleagues and other trades.
