Job Description
Lead solution development, product planning and market analysis for utility-scale Solar PV, BESS and Solar + BESS hybrid projects in Australia.
n
Develop strong market and technical understanding of utility-scale Solar PV, standalone BESS and hybrid renewable energy applications.
n
Analyze customer requirements and develop system-level solutions for IPPs, developers, utilities and EPC contractors.
n
Design and configure Utility Solar & BESS solutions covering PV inverters, PCS, BESS, EMS/PPC, MV systems and transformers.
n
Develop system architecture, sizing and control strategies for Solar + BESS hybrid power plants based on Australian grid requirements and project specifications.
n
Support RFI/RFQ responses, tenders, technical proposals, compliance matrices and technical clarifications.
n
Engage with customers, EPC contractors, IPPs/developers, Network Service Providers and engineering consultants.
n
Work closely with Grid Integration and Simulation teams to ensure Solar, BESS and PPC solutions comply with Australian grid connection requirements.
n
Monitor competitor products, system architectures, technologies and commercial strategies across the utility solar and BESS markets.
n
Contribute to Utility Solar & BESS product roadmaps, standardized solutions and technical platforms.
n
Coordinate with Grid connection engineer, R&D;, system engineering,



sales and project delivery teams to drive strategic projects from solution development through execution.

Qualifications and Requirements:
n
Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Power Electronics, Renewable Energy or a related field.
n
5+ years of experience in utility-scale solar, BESS, renewable energy or power electronics.
n
Proven experience in product management, solution engineering, pre-sales or system engineering for large-scale Solar PV, BESS or hybrid renewable energy projects.
n
Solid understanding of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS architecture, including PV inverters, PCS, battery systems, EMS/PPC, MV systems and transformers.
n
Good understanding of Solar + BESS hybrid power plant architecture and control strategies.
n
Familiarity with technical tendering processes for Australian utility-scale renewable energy projects.
n
Knowledge of the Australian NEM/WEM market, grid connection processes and AEMO/NSP requirements is highly preferred.
n
Experience with Australian IPPs, developers, utilities, EPC contractors, NSPs or Solar/BESS OEMs is preferred.
n
Strong customer-facing, solution design, product planning and cross-functional project management skills.
n
Excellent English communication, presentation and technical writing skills.
n
Willingness to travel within Australia or overseas occasionally.
