About the Role
n
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Finance Business Partner to join our Financial Services team. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with leaders across the organisation to support strategic decision-making through high-quality financial analysis, reporting and long-term financial planning. You'll play a key role in developing and maintaining the City's Long Term Financial Plan, monitoring financial performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing trusted financial advice to a range of stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys partnering with the business, driving continuous improvement and contributing to organisational success.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Prepare and maintain the City's Long Term Financial Plan and support annual budgeting processes.
n
Analyse financial performance, monitor variances and provide meaningful insights to management.
n
Partner with allocated directorates to deliver financial advice and support informed decision-making.
n
Assist with annual financial statements, audits, compliance reporting and grant reporting requirements.
n
Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, systems and reporting practices.
n

What We're Looking For
n
n
Experience in a finance, accounting or financial management role within a medium to large organisation.
n
Strong financial analysis, budgeting and business partnering capability.
n
Knowledge of financial reporting standards and relevant legislative requirements.
n
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
n
Relevant accounting or finance qualifications, along with strong systems and data analysis skills.
n
