About us:

Sydwest Eye Specialists an established practice of 23 years are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Orthoptists (experience helpful but not essential) to join our team. We will provide extensive training on the job. The practice is located in Cabramatta with onsite staff parking.

Sydwest Eye Specialist is home to three experienced ophthalmologists covering a broad range of subspecialties. About the role:
n
Your work will include a mix of orthoptic assessments, imaging, and patient care across a range of subspecialties. New graduates are welcome to apply, and experienced orthoptists seeking a long-term supportive environment are encouraged.

The position is to commence immediately upon successful application.

Remuneration: Above award rate with end of year incentivised bonuses.

We are fully equipped with Cirrus OCT, Optos widefield imaging, FFA, Humphrey visual field, Cornea topography, IOL master, Itrace. The practice is modern and fully computerized. We provide regular in-house staff training and staff well-being social functions.

Duties will include:
n

VA, Subjective refraction (essential)
n
IOP /IOL Master/ Humphrey Visual field testing/ Itrace
n
OCT scanning
n
Retinal imaging / Fluorescein angiography with Optos widefield
n
Instrument sterilization
n
Assisting with intravitreal injection and minor operations
n
n
Ability to speak a secondary Asian language will be helpful but not essential.
