We're looking for a skilled and imaginative Pastry Cook to join our team and help us take our desserts to the next level for our customers.
n
What You'll Do:
n
Prepare pastry doughs, fillings and other components from raw ingredients.
n
Prepare and bake specialty pastry products including puff pastry, shortbread, cinnamon scrolls, vanilla slices, profiteroles and other pastry goods
n
Prepare creams, fillings, glazes and toppings for pastry and dessert products.
n
Decorate and finish gourmet donuts, pastries and other specialty products using piping, glazing and other finishing techniques.
n
Prepare customised and made-to-order pastry and dessert products.
n
Monitor baking times, temperatures, presentation and finished product quality.
n
Operate bakery and pastry equipment, including dough sheeting equipment.
n




Assist with creating and developing new pastry and dessert products.
n
Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace cleanliness standards.
n
What We're Looking For:
n
A relevant trade qualification, such as Certificate III in Pastry or an equivalent qualification;
n
At least 2 years of relevant commercial pastry experience.
n
Experience preparing pastry products from raw ingredients.
n
Experience preparing pastries, fillings, creams and specialty desserts.
n
Experience operating dough sheeting and other commercial bakery equipment.
n
Strong attention to detail, quality and presentation;
n
The ability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as required.
n
Reliable and positive approach to working as part of a team.
n
Genuine interest in producing high-quality specialty bakery and pastry products.
