Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive and age-appropriate lessons in line with the curriculum and learning objectives.

Assess pupils' learning and use assessment information to identify strengths, gaps and areas for development.

Differentiate teaching and learning activities to meet the individual needs and abilities of all pupils.
n
Maintain a safe, supportive and positive learning workplace within the classroom.
n
Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote positive attitudes towards learning.
n
Monitor pupils' progress and maintain accurate records of attainment, attendance and development.
n
Provide constructive feedback to pupils to support their academic and personal development.
n
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff and other educators to meet pupils' needs.
n
Communicate effectively with parents, carers and colleagues regarding pupils' progress, behaviour and welfare.
n
Identify pupils who may require additional support and work with relevant professionals to implement appropriate interventions.
n
Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development alongside their academic learning.
n
Follow safeguarding, child protection, health and safety and school policies and procedures.
n
Prepare teaching resources, classroom materials and learning activities to support effective lessons.
n
Participate in staff meetings, training, professional development and wider school activities.
n
Contribute to the wider life of the school and promote high standards of achievement, inclusion and pupil wellbeing.
