ABOUT THE ROLE
n
Join us as an Underground Electrical Technician on a 2-year Fixed Term Contract at our Dendrobium Coal Mine, located near the vibrant coastal city of Wollongong, just 75 km south of Sydney.
n
As an Underground Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance and inspections on underground equipment to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable support to coal production operations.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
Executing work orders safely and in line with the work order management system
n
Identifying faults, participating in root cause analysis, and recommending improvements
n
Reviewing and updating job procedures,
work instructions and task lists
n
Accurately capturing maintenance history and reporting incidents and hazards
n
Participating in pre-shift briefings, handovers and behavioural observations
n

To be successful in this role you'll need the following qualifications, skills and competencies:
n
Generic Underground Induction
n
Electrical Trade Qualification
n
Electrical Supervisors Certificate
n
EEHA - Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas Certificate
n
Valid Driver's Licence
n
Mining with a preference to underground coal mining
n
High Voltage switching experience (desired)
n
A good work ethic, with motivation to work in challenging situations
n
