Job Description
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Provide environmental compliance, planning and regulatory support to national operations.
n
Help business units maintain licences, approvals and statutory obligations.
n
Support planning approvals, development applications and environmental assessments for operations and growth projects.
n
Assist with incident investigations, corrective actions and regulatory reporting.
n
Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments to identify obligations and improvement opportunities.
n
Improve environmental management systems, standards and procedures.
n
Liaise with regulators, planning authorities, consultants and external stakeholders.
n
Provide environmental and planning advice to operations, HSEQ and management.
n
Support environmental due diligence for acquisitions, projects and operational changes.
n
Prepare licence and corporate environmental performance reports.
n
Deliver environmental training and awareness initiatives.
n
Contribute to projects that improve compliance, efficiency and environmental outcomes.
n
Support sites during audits, inspections and regulatory interactions.
n
Monitor environmental and planning legislation, policy and industry best practice.
n
Work with internal stakeholders, including Setting, Health & Safety, Technical, M&A;, HSEQ and site teams.
n
Engage external stakeholders, including regulators, councils, agencies, industry bodies, customers, consultants and contractors.
n

Skills and Experience
n
n
Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Planning or a related discipline.
n
Experience working in environmental compliance/advisory, environmental planning, consulting or a related field.
n
Understanding of environmental legislation, regulatory requirements and compliance obligations.
n
Knowledge of environmental planning, approvals and licensing processes.
n
Technical report writing and environmental documentation skills.
n
Environmental auditing, inspections and risk assessment capability.
n
Incident investigation and problem-solving skills.
n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
n
Robust administrative, analytical and project coordination skills.
n
Understanding in financial literacy and budget management capability.
n
