Job Description :

Role : Active Directory Security & Hardening Architect
n
Location : Sydney
n
Experience : 8-12Yrs
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
Active Directory Security & Health
n
n
Perform comprehensive Active Directory health checks, including domain controllers, replication, trust relationships, and security posture.
n
Identify vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and risk exposure within AD environments.
n
n
AD Hardening & Security Architecture
n
n




Drive end-to-end AD hardening initiatives aligned with industry best practices and Microsoft security recommendations.
n
Design and implement tiered AD architecture models (Tier 0/1/2) and privileged access controls.
n
n
Group Policy (GPO) Optimization
n
n
Conduct GPO review and clean-up, eliminating redundant or conflicting policies.
n
Standardize GPOs aligned with security baseline and compliance requirements.
n
n
Secure Migration & Transformation Planning
n
n
Design and execute migration plans for AD hardening, including:
n
Secure LDAP (LDAPS) enablement
n
SMB signing implementation
n
NTLM hardening and mitigation of NTLM relay attacks
n
Perform security assessment of SOE across servers and endpoints.
n
Recommend and implement security controls aligned with enterprise standards.
n
n
Microsoft Security Baseline Implementation
n
n
Implement and enforce Microsoft Security Baselines, covering:
n
Windows Servers
n
User Endpoints (Windows *****)
n
Ensure alignment with CIS/Microsoft recommended configurations.
n
n
Documentation & Governance
n
n
Develop detailed documentation including:
n
Migration and remediation plans
n
Support audit, compliance, and governance requirements.
n
n
Required Skills & Expertise

Core Technical Skills

Strong expertise in:
n
Active Directory (AD DS, DNS, Group Policy)
n
AD security hardening techniques
n
Identity and access security controls
n
Hands-on experience with:
n
Privileged Access Management (PAM) concepts
n
AD auditing and monitoring tools

Security & Architecture
n
n
Experience in enterprise security architecture design
n
Understanding of:

Zero Trust principles
n
Identity security frameworks
n
Microsoft security ecosystem (Defender, Entra ID, etc.)

Baseline & Compliance

Implementation of:

Microsoft Security Baselines
