Job Description
Elderly Care is seeking an experienced Chef to join our team in our Ashgrove Aged Care facility. This role is responsible for preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for our elderly residents in a caring and professional environment.

Key responsibilities

Preparing and cooking a variety of meals, including special dietary requirements, for our elderly residents
n
Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation
n
Ordering and managing kitchen supplies and stock
n
Collaborating with the care team to understand resident dietary needs and preferences
n
Mentoring and supervising kitchen staff
n
Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
n
Assisting Chef Manager in delivering quality meals to residents
n
n
About you
n
n
At least 3 years' experience as a Chef, preferably in an aged care or healthcare setting
n
Current Food Safety Certificate and Cert II or III in Cookery
n




Strong culinary skills and knowledge of nutritious meal preparation
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the care team
n
Valuable organisational and time management abilities
n
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulationsPassion for providing high-quality dining experiences for the elderly
