About the role

As an automation engineer, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our clients' businesses. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to seek development opportunities and expand your skill set through hands‐on experience from design to implementation.

The ideal candidate should have 4-6 years of experience working in automation engineering and motivated for a new challenge. The role will involve developing and implementing automation solutions to improve processes and increase efficiency.

Responsibilities

The various responsibilities of the role are:

Designing and implementing automation solutions for manufacturing processes
n
Programming and configuring automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
n
Troubleshooting and maintaining automation systems to ensure optimal performance.
n
Developing and executing test plans to ensure automation systems meet requirements.
n
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements.
n
n
Skills and experience
n
The role will require someone who can demonstrate:
n
n
Robust knowledge of PLC programming languages (ladder logic, structured text, function block diagrams)
n
Experience with HMI and SCADA systems
n
Excellent problem‐solving skills and attention to detail
n
Constructive two way engagement with all stakeholders.
n
An ability to consistently achieve results and deliver on promises (do what they say they will)

The minimum experience required for this role is:

Tertiary qualifications in a Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field
