Job Description
Electrical Engineer
n
Industry: Heavy Industry Engineering
n Position Type: Full-Time
n Location: On-site / Wickham, NSW (with regional, interstate and overseas travel)

About the Role
n
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client's small and agile team.
n This itinerant role will focus on providing professional engineering services across mining,
n container handling, and heavy industry sectors.
n Your primary responsibility will involve engineering management and equipment compliance
n auditing---spanning mining operations, container terminals, and heavy earthmoving equipment.
n You will collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, mining companies, container terminal
n operators, and equipment OEMs to ensure safety compliance and operational excellence.
n This role offers a unique opportunity to work across diverse heavy industry environments while
n advancing asset management and reliability improvement methodologies. Self-motivation,
n strong technical expertise, and willingness to travel are essential.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Develop and review engineering management and safety management system coordination
n
Conduct equipment compliance auditing to Australian and International Standards
n
Perform ongoing inspection and reporting of critical infrastructure including container cranes
n
Lead technological improvement projects and small works packages
n
Develop equipment specifications and support asset management projects
n
Provide onsite engineering support, relief work, and statutory engineering coverage
n
Create budget estimates and project scoping for engineering initiatives
n
Facilitate and review risk assessments across multiple client sites
n
Support mobile and fixed equipment procurement processes
n
n

Qualifications
n
n
Minimum 5+ years' experience in electrical works (combination of industrial trade and engineering)
n
Expertise in heavy industry electrical systems (mining and container handling equipment)
n
Diploma to Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering
n
Demonstrated knowledge of WHS legislation and Australian Standards for heavy industry
n
Experience with 3+ years of mine site or container terminal (port) operations
n
Project management and supervision experience with budget and schedule development
n
Strong interpersonal communication and technical report writing skills
n
Must be eligible for MSIC clearance and able to pass drug/alcohol and police checks
n
n
Highly Regarded Additional Qualifications
n
n
Practicing certificate – Electrical Engineer (Under WHS Mines and Petroleum Sites Regulation ****)
n
CPEng, NER and/or RPEQ certifications
n
Asset management software experience
n
Reliability investigations and defect management expertise
n
n
Additional Experience
n
n
Site engineering experience (underground, open-cut, or fixed plant processing)
n
Port operations engineering expertise
n
Risk assessment facilitation and development skills
