Yard Hand / MR Driver / Front End Loader Operator

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and customer-focused Yard Hand / MR Driver to join our clients busy landscaping and garden supplies business. Located in Mornington.
n
This is a diverse, hands-on role that combines yard operations, front-end loader operation, customer service, sales support, and delivery driving. The successful applicant will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and committed to providing outstanding service to our customers.
n
Weekend work is required as part of a rotating roster.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Loading and unloading landscaping materials including soil, mulch, sand, gravel, rocks.
n
Operating a Front End Loader to safely load customer vehicles and delivery trucks
n
Delivering products to residential and commercial customers using company MR vehicles
n
Assisting customers with product enquiries and order collection
n
Preparing and checking customer orders for collection and delivery
n
Understanding product weights, volumes, and dimensions.
n
Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised yard
n
Stock control and general yard maintenance
n
Manual handling of landscaping products and materials
n
Working collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient day-to-day operations
n
n
Essential Requirements
n
n
Valid Current Medium Rigid (MR) Driver Licence (essential)
n




Front End Loader ticket and/or proven operating experience
n
Strong understanding of weights, measurements, volumes, and load capacities
n
Excellent customer service and communication skills
n
Point of Sale /retail or landscaping experience a bonus
n
Sound computer skills and ability to learn business software
n
Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling duties
n
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
n
Available to work weekends as required
n

Desirable Skills & Experience
n
n
Experience in landscaping supplies, building products, quarry, transport, or a similar industry
n
Knowledge of landscaping materials and their applications
n
Experience in a retail, trade sales, or customer-facing environment
n
n
