Investment Operations Analyst - Funds Management

An established and growing fund manager is looking for an Investment Operations Analyst to join their team in Sydney.
n
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with experience across investment operations, trade processing, settlements, reconciliations and portfolio administration, looking to take ownership of the day-to-day operational requirements.

The Role
n
n
Manage day-to-day investment operations across multiple investment portfolios
n
Process and oversee investment trades, settlements and cash movements
n
Perform daily reconciliations across portfolios, cash, holdings and transactions
n
Investigate and resolve operational breaks and discrepancies
n
Coordinate settlement activities with brokers, custodians, fund administrators and other counterparties
n
Process corporate actions, distributions and other investment-related events
n
Maintain accurate portfolio, transaction and investment data
n
Support portfolio rebalancing and ensure transactions are processed accurately
n
Assist with operational reporting and investment data analysis
n
Work closely with investment, finance, compliance and other internal teams
n
Identify opportunities to improve operational processes,



controls and efficiencies
n
Support operational projects, system enhancements and process improvements
n
Ensure all activities are completed accurately and in line with relevant policies and controls
n
n

About You
n
You will ideally have 2–5 years' experience in investment operations, fund operations, middle office or investment administration.
n
You will bring:

Robust understanding of the investment trade lifecycle
n
Experience with settlements, reconciliations and corporate actions
n
Exposure to investment portfolios and financial markets
n
Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate discrepancies
n
Good Excel and data analysis skills
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
A proactive and hands-on approach to problem solving
n
Experience working with brokers, custodians, fund administrators or investment managers
n
