About the role
n
Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to work within our Perioperative Theatres. Mater has finalised the strategic acquisition of Healthscope's Gold Coast Private Hospital, this is a significant milestone in Mater's commitment to delivering exceptional and compassionate care to Queensland communities.
n
We have one Enrolled Nurse contract coming available shortly, we are seeking a 12 month maximum term contract 32 hours per week. The successful candidates will be required to work across a 7-day rotating roster including, early and late shifts, and on call.
n
The Perioperative Unit specialises in Orthopaedics, Neuro/Spinal, ENT, Urology and Cardiothoracic. As a highly valued member of the team, you will be part of a group of professionals who take pride in providing the highest levels of patient care. The team is supportive, approachable and patient-focused, and provides excellent training and development opportunities.

Salary range: $***** - $***** per hourplus superannuationandaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!

What you'll be doing
n
n
Utilising a structured approach carry out comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of patients
n
Within scope of practice, implements planned evidence-based nursing interventions
n
Act as a patient advocate ensuring patients are informed and consent is gained prior to procedures
n
Contribute to the maintenance of an environment which promotes safety,



security and personal integrity of individual patients and groups
n
Maintain and adhere to Infection Control policies and practices
n
Complies with organisational policies, procedures, work instructions and guidelines
n
Ensure confidentiality of corporate and patient information
n
n
About you
n

Other skills and experience include:
n
n
Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
n
Recent nursing experience in an acute hospital setting (at least 1-year post-graduate experience)
n
Prior experience in medication management
n
Advanced interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
n
The ability to work well autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
n
n
