ROLE DESCRIPTION:
n
n
Therapeutic use of occupations and activities.
n
Skill development in self-care, self-management, home management, and community/work/school reintegration.
n
Education and support of individuals, their families and caregivers through collaborative partnerships and family‐centred approaches.
n
Modification of environments (e.g., home, work, school, community).
n
Use of natural contexts for assessment and intervention (i.e. home, school classrooms, work settings, community).
n
Use of techniques to enhance sensory, perceptual, and cognitive processing and manual therapy technique skills.
n
Ability to provide some school/preschool services. Travel will be reimbursed.
n

QUALIFICATIONS:
n
To excel in this role, you should embody warmth, compassion, and the following qualifications and qualities:
n
n
Australian Membership with APHRA as a Registered Occupational Therapist.
n
Working with Children Check.
n
NDIS Worker ID
n
Desirable experience, particularly with ASD clients; applicants with at least 24 months of clinical experience are preferred, but all applicants are welcome to apply.
n
Honest, friendly, and reliable with a knack for building rapport with children and their families.
n
Dedication and a strong work ethic, committed to providing the highest quality service to each client.
n
A team player with a fun and caring disposition.
n
The ability to collaborate effectively with other clinical disciplines.
n
