We are looking for a technically solid and strategically focused Solution Designer / Lead
n
Engineer with deep hands-on experience in enterprise Appian solutioning. The ideal candidate
n
will combine strong architectural expertise, delivery leadership, and business understanding, with
n
experience working in complex and regulated environments such as financial services. This role
n
will be responsible for designing scalable, resilient, and reusable Appian solutions that translate
n
business needs into effective technology outcomes while aligning with enterprise architecture
n
standards and long-term digital transformation goals.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Architect and design end-to-end Appian solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and business transformation strategies.
n
Drive platform evolution and contribute to the Appian ecosystem roadmap, ensuring maturity, scalability, and extensibility.
n
Collaborate with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, data governance, DevSecOps, and delivery teams.
n
Deliver complex solutions integrating multiple Appian applications, legacy systems, microservices, and REST/SOAP APIs.
n
Lead technical reviews, solution walkthroughs, and performance optimization to ensure secure, scalable solutions meeting NFRs.
n
Support Agile (Scrum/SAFe) and Waterfall delivery environments.
n
Mentor development squads and provide technical oversight on reusable patterns and coding standards.
n
Identify and mitigate architectural and delivery risks; produce HLDs, LLDs, integration specifications.
n

Mandatory Qualification
n
n
7+ years of professional Appian experience, including significant solution architecture responsibilities.
n
Appian Certified Senior Developer and Appian Certified Lead Developer certifications (23.X or later); earlier versions will not be considered.
n
Experience designing mission-critical Appian applications in enterprise and regulated environments, especially banking, insurance, or capital markets.
n
Strong knowledge of Appian object models, security, records, interfaces, process models, and plug-ins.
n
Extensive integration experience with legacy/mainframe systems, middleware, event-driven architectures, cloud services, and third-party APIs.
n
Experience with CI/CD, quality gates, test automation, and Appian DevOps tools such as Compare-and-Deploy and Automated Testing.
n
Strong business acumen and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders from product teams to CIO-level executives.
n
Ability to navigate ambiguous requirements while maintaining architectural integrity.
n
Outcome-focused approach to building scalable, maintainable solutions.

Preferred Qualifications
n
n
Experience with Appian Portals, Data Fabric, Sites, and RPA.
n
Knowledge of enterprise security concepts including SSO, OAuth2, RBAC, encryption-at-rest, and workflow auditability.
n
Experience with global/multi-region delivery and distributed technical teams.
n
Exposure to AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, containerization, and API gateways.
