Program Manager - Customer Data Platforms | Melbourne (On-site) | 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

Talenza is partnered with a large enterprise running a major customer transformation program. They're looking for a Program Manager to own the end-to-end delivery of a Customer Data Platform capability - with a strong focus on business-driven data products and modern platform patterns.

You'll sit at the intersection of delivery, data platform engineering, and stakeholder alignment - ensuring what gets built is genuinely consumed by the business (not just "delivered").

What you'll be doing
n
n
Lead delivery across a set of Customer Platform / Data Platform epics: planning, sequencing, sprint execution, testing, business readiness, and operationalisation.
n
Partner closely with stakeholders to keep everything business-focused and outcome-driven.
n
Work in collaboration with the enterprise Data team to align architecture patterns, governance, and standards.
n
Drive the build of data products that will be consumed by downstream teams (BI, operational reporting, analytics, AI).
n
Coordinate delivery across data engineers, analysts, architects, testers,



and BAs- unblocking teams and managing dependencies.
n
Guide platform decisions around data ingestion patterns, integration/sync needs, and data layer design.
n

What we're looking for
n
n
Strong experience as a Delivery Lead / Iteration Lead / Senior PM in data platform or data-heavy transformation environments.
n
Proven ability to lead delivery in Agile / hybrid delivery models (planning, prioritisation, ceremonies, stakeholder cadence).
n
Solid understanding of contemporary data platform concepts:n

Data products
n
Data ingestion patterns
n
Lakehouse / medallion-style layering
n
Data warehouse operations (nice advantage if you've been close to BAU + platform uplift)
n
n
Strong stakeholder management - able to align tech + data + business groups and keep momentum.
n

Tech / platform exposure (advantageous)
n
n
Databricks
n
Modern cloud data platforms and integration patterns
n
Familiarity with enterprise data governance / architecture alignment (working with a Data Office / EA function)
