Sundance Racking Pty Ltd is a specialist pallet racking installation, relocation, repair and maintenance contractor, operating throughout Australia but primarily based in Victoria and New South Wales. With extensive experience in large-scale warehouse developments, distribution centres, automated storage systems and cold storage facilities, Sundance Racking provides safe, compliant and high-quality installation services for some of Australia's leading logistics, warehousing and manufacturing businesses.

About the role
n
As our Senior Bookkeeper, you will take full ownership of the day-to-day financial operations across our business, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance and financial control. This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in an autonomous environment and enjoys managing the full finance function. Working closely with our director and external accountants, you will manage all finance-related activities throughout the year, including debt collection, payment processing, payroll, and year-end preparation, playing a key role in supporting the continued growth and success of the business.

Key responsibilities

Lead all financial operations, reporting, and compliance
n
Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG, Superannuation, Workers Compensation, and other statutory obligations
n
Maintain financial records and ensure data integrity within MYOB
n
Prepare monthly management reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis
n
Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable including debt collection and payments
n
Reconcile bank,



credit card and general ledger accounts
n
Process invoices, reimbursements, bank transfers, and weekly payroll for 50 staff
n
Perform financial data entry and general administration tasks
n
You'll be solely responsible for the management and execution of all finance related activities outside of our annualtax return and annual strategic planning.

Liaise with external tax accountants for a smooth year end
n

Your Experience and Skills:
n
n
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
n
You're a commercially minded finance leader who combines strong technical capability with strategic thinking and excellent interpersonal skills.
n
Extensive experience in MYOB
n
Able to work autonomously, planning out your week and month to get everything done at the right time
n
Able to reconcile the Balance Sheet and provide insightful commentary on the P&L;
n
Comfortable lodging BAS, payroll tax, Workcover and other reports to government entities
n
Being a kind and courteous team member who enjoys their work is also important to us and our team.

Certificate IV in Accounting, Bookkeeping or equivalent qualification (desirable)

Working arrangements:
n
This role is based on site at our head office in Sunshine West.
n
You will report to the Director and have one direct report yourself.
n
You will receive support with onboarding and handover as part of your induction.

Full time
n
While this is advertised as a full-time position, we're open to considering a 0.8 FTE arrangement for an exceptional candidate who brings the right skill set and experience.
