We're a busy specialist orthopaedic practice in Noosa Heads, bringing together orthopaedic consultation & surgery, a fracture clinic and physiotherapy under one roof.

The Chance
n
We're hiring a Medical Receptionist / Medical Administrator on a permanent part-time basis: 0.8 FTE across 4 fixed days each week. This is a hands-on, varied role at the centre of a busy specialist practice - you'll be the first person our patients speak to and a key point of contact for our surgeon and clinical team.

Day to day, you'll be:
n
Welcoming patients and managing a busy phone and front-desk enquiry line
n
Booking and coordinating appointments across orthopaedics, fracture clinic and physio
n
Handling invoicing, receipting, and Medicare/health fund/third-party billing
n
Supporting our orthopaedic surgeon and wider clinical team with day-to-day admin
n
Keeping practice documentation and processes up to date
n
Helping the practice run smoothly as things get busy
n
What We're Looking For
n
At least 3 years' experience in medical administration
n
Experience with Genie practice management software (highly regarded)
n
Confident, warm communication - on the phone, at the desk, and with a clinical team
n
Sharp attention to detail and genuinely reliable follow-through
n
Comfortable working independently once you know our processes, but happy to ask when you don't
n
A solid grasp of Medicare, private health funds and third-party billing
n
Comfortable with Microsoft Office and picking up new medical software
n
Experience with surgical quoting, bookings and billing will be highly regarded
